Port Balís is located in a strategic point of the Mediterranean and is the ideal stopover for the routes of Costa Brava and the Gulf of Leon that come from the south or go towards the Balearic Islands and Costa Daurada from the east and the northeast.
El Balís is located within the municipality of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, located in a privileged area of the Maresme, next to the towns of Sant Vicenç de Montalt and Caldes d’Estrac. These two towns together with Caldetes are known as “Las Tres Villas” (The Three Towns), a privileged environment thanks to its microclimate, its gastronomy and its perfect location within the Maresme coast.

The port has 764 moorings, for lengths up to 30 meters. The channel of the entrance has a mean draft of 4.5 meters, in the rest of the port there is a depth of between 2 and 3 meters.
The communication of the Club with its environment is facilitated through the rail and buses network connecting it to big cities like Barcelona or to other smaller but active and near ones like Mataró, through the commuter trains network RENFE. Regarding its communications, the Club enjoys the following facilities: the distance to the International Airport of Barcelona is reduced to 45 minutes of travel, Gerona is only 55 minutes by highway, and the Aeroclub of Sabadell is only 20 minutes away as well.

Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is a village located between the sea and the mountains, just 35 kilometres from Barcelona. The sea neighbourhood, La Riera; the town centre: Ca l'Alfaro, the parish church, the modernist imprint, Molino d'En Cabot, Rocs de Sant Magí, the old church and the chapel of Llorita, the route of the 3 Towns.
The proximity of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres to Barcelona is one of the great advantages of this municipality. In a very short time and thanks to good communications (road, motorway, railway), it is easy to get close to the city and enjoy all its attractions: Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia, Picasso Museum, Casa Batlló, Güell Park...
In the kitchen of Maresme the sea products of the vegetables are the main protagonists. The emblematic products of the gastronomy of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is the garrofal pea of Llavaneres, the stuffed apples and the coca of Llavaneres (a typical cake).
Maresme is a region rich in festive, cultural and commercial activities that are celebrated all along the year. The local party of Minerva, held in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres in July, is also important, together with “Las Santas” of Mataró, “Piratas y Premianencs” in Premià de Mar or the Grape Harvest Festival of Alella, among many others.
